All the Stages of Something Going Wrong in a Live Performance, as Illistrated by GIFs

After you've been performing for a while, something will inevitably go wrong during a live show... In fact, you'd be lucky if something mildly catastrophic didn't go wrong during your first show. Whether it's your fault or something totally out of anyone's control, there's always that moment where you're completely mortified/trying not to laugh/panicking. I will always remember the time in 9th grade when the sound operator didn't catch the music queue, and left a dozen teenagers to improvise wildly until he caught on ("why are Hansel and Gretel telling that poor boy he should start singing and dancing?"... I never said we were good at improv). The audience laughed, we were horrrified, and now, whenever I see those cast mates we talk about "what happened to the public holiday."

(1) Wait a second... What just happened? Sara didn't say her line. Why isn't that spotlight coming up. What. Is. Happening???

(2) "Nobody panic, nobody panic" While Evan is hyperventilating looks to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown...

(3) Improvise!!! You're practically giving Sara her line. Hint, hint.

(4) Spontaneous dancing, singing, monologues, etc. Whatever you need to get back on track! You run to your place for the dance number and pray everyone else follows.

(5) Thank heavens they did, and the orchestra is scrambling to get their pages in order. You've gotten the show back to where it needed to be.

(6) But did the audience notice?!

(7) They're still sitting normally and seem oblivious... You hope...

(8) *sigh*

(9) On with the show!!!
